WRANGELL, ALASKA Last week the Wrangell Ranger District made what they now deem a "rash decision." They announced the suspension of their commercial firewood permitting process. This lasted for roughly a day before the decision was reversed due to overwhelming public opposition. Wednesday night, the forest service held a public meeting to discuss the future of Wrangell local firewood resource. KSTK's Lisa Phu reports.
