2008 SEREMS Symposium in Wrangell

WRANGELL, ALASKA An influx of people from all over southeast has begun to arrive in Wrangell for the Southeast Region EMS Symposium. It its over 20-year history, this is only the second time the symposium has taken place outside of Sitka. According to board president of Southeast Region EMS Council, Terry Buness, Wrangell is more than ready. KSTK's Lisa Phu reports.

A sure sign of spring in Wrangell is the annual health fair sponsored by Wrangell Medical Center. Kris Reed, WMC Development Coordinator and Health Fair Committee member, is working on getting everything in place for Wrangell’s 2015 Health Fair which is set to take place on Saturday, April 4th. Assembly hears WMC update, approves hospital budget change

The Wrangell Borough Assembly Tuesday heard a report on the financial situation of the Wrangell Medical Center. The hospital nearly ran out of cash last year, but WMC officials say the financials are improving. more
