Empress cancellation may affect rural economies

WRANGELL, ALASKA The Empress of the North has recently announced the cancellation of their last seven sailings in southeast due to soft advanced bookings. While this will undoubtedly impact all the southeast towns it visits, Wrangell will be among the hardest hit. The Empress of the North is Wrangell's only consistent visiting cruise ship.
