GCI installing fiber optic cable to link southeast

WRANGELL, ALASKA GCI is currently implementing a new $30-million fiber optic network in southeast. 754 miles of fiber optic cable will connect Wrangell, Petersburg, Ketchikan, Sitka, and Angoon to the Alaska United line, which currently connects Alaska to the lower 48.
