Alaska Energy Authority Meets In Wrangell

WRANGELL Representatives from Southeast communities gathered at Wrangell's Nolan Center for the Alaska Energy Authority meeting. Hydro-power was the main topic of discussion as well as the AK/BC Intertie. KSTK's Tony Gorman has more on the meeting.

The U.S. Forest Service recently announced it is changing its proposal for a timber sale on Wrangell Island. The Forest Service is proposing a harvest of about 5,300 acres for 73 million board feet of mostly old growth timber. more
