Governor Palin Signs Boating Safety Bill in Wrangell

Governor Sarah Palin made a stop in Wrangell,Wednesday afternoon, during a trip through the Southeast to sign a bill concerning boating safety. It was Palin's first visit to city as Alaska governor. Her arrival to Wrangell was delayed because she was in Petersburg signing an education bill sponsored by Wrangell Representative Peggy Wilson. 2009 Stikine River Field Trip

Mother Nature didn't stop two groups of youngsters from trekking up the Stikine River. Fourth graders from Evergreen Elementary and another group from Petersburg engaged in numerous activities as part of the annual Stikine River Field Trip.
