Candidates Declared for Wrangell Municipal Election

The deadline for Declaration for Candidacy for the October 2, 2012 Wrangell Borough Municipal Election was Friday, August 31st.  14 Wrangell residents filed to run for 11 open seats.  Those individuals and seats are:

Assembly Seat F (unexpired term until October 2013)

  2. Maxlyn J. Wiederspohn

Port Commission (two seats available)

School board (two seats available)

  1. Kipha Valvoda
  2. Tamara Groshong
  3. Kimmi “Krissy” Smith
  4. Twyla Nore

Hospital Board (three seats available)

  1. Barbara Conine
  2. Marlene Messmer
  3. Judy K. Allen
  4. Robert Henry

The Borough of Wrangell Municipal Election will take place on October 2, 2012.  The Nolan Center is the polling place.  Poles will open at 8:00 am and will close at 8:00 pm.
