4th of July royalty – Kayla Rooney

There are three candidates for this year’s Fourth of July royalty contest. They are Darian Meissner, Jennifer Ludwigsen, and Kayla Rooney.

Rooney is from Wrangell who just finished her senior year in high school. She is a volunteer with Fire Department and plans to attend college in the fall to study nursing.

KSTK’s Shady Grove Oliver spoke with Rooney about her preparations for this year’s event. This is part of that interview.
