The regular elections for the City and Borough of Wrangell are October 1st.
For the next month, KSTK will bring you overviews of the important issues and items you can expect to see on the ballot.

As part of this coverage, we’ll feature interviews with the candidates running for elected positions.
There are two people vying for the position of mayor, David Jack and Kipha Valvoda.
Jack was appointed mayor earlier this year after the resignation of Don McConachie.
KSTK’s Shady Grove Oliver spoke with Jack about his bid to keep the spot.

On October 10 in Kodiak, candidates for U.S. Senate took to the stage for Kodiak’s biennial fish debate. They tackled issues important to fisheries across the state such as discharge rules, Alaska's aging fishing crews and transboundary Canadian mines. Candidates had chances to ask questions of each other and comment on their favorite seafood as well. more
