Wrangell cross country boys take 2nd, 7th place in meet

Wrangell’s cross country team traveled to Juneau last weekend to compete in a 5k or 3.1 mile run.
Wrangell is a 3A school, which means it competes in the ‘small school’ category.
The team travels this weekend to Sitka to compete in the regional event. State qualifiers will compete in Anchorage the following weekend.

Bryce Gerald – 2nd Place – 17:45.00
Robbie Marshall – 7th Place – 18:16.00
Dawson Miller – 20:31.13
Amos Comstock – 21:13.00
Sam Prysunka – 21:29.00
Sig Decker – 21:31.00
Mike Ottesen – 22:09.00
Mason Dingwall – 22:29.00

Wrangell could soon be part of the farm-to-table trend. Wrangell resident, Dixie Booker, is a finalist in Sealaska’s Path to Prosperity, a contest for entrepreneurs to get their businesses of the ground. Booker hopes to supply Wrangell with fresh produce. … more
For the time being, the city water system has stabilized, but the crisis is not over. Everyone still needs to conserve and keep finding ways to cut water consumption. It is now raining but the amount of water is not the problem. The problem is; our water treatment plant can’t treat water fast enough to keep up with the demand. more
