Ketchikan teacher Dan Ortiz to run for House District 33 seat

Dan Ortiz is a teacher at Ketchikan High School.

He’ll be running against Wrangell Republican Representative Peggy Wilson next year for the District 33 seat in the House.

He was in Wrangell as a coach for the DDF competition this weekend. KSTK’s Shady Grove Oliver met up with him a local coffee shop on Sunday to talk about his campaign:

That was an interview with Ketchikan teacher Dan Ortiz who will be running against Representative Peggy Wilson next year for the District 33 seat in the House.

He grew up in Ketchikan and has been in education for 31 years. He’s taught social studies, economics, US history, and DDF—or Drama, Debate, and Forensics.
