Jabusch appointed city manager

He was appointed Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at the regular Borough Assembly Meeting. He’s been the city’s finance director for the last 36 years and the interim borough manager for the last three months.

AICS yoga class joins body and mind

AICS is running a new yoga class starting this fall in Wrangell.

Michael Brown is a clinician with Alaska Island Community Services, or AICS. He’s also a program director with the Primary and Behavioral Health Grant, which is funding the new yoga class.

Ketchikan teacher Dan Ortiz to run for House District 33 seat

Dan Ortiz is a teacher at Ketchikan High School. He’ll be running against Wrangell Republican Representative Peggy Wilson next year for the District 33 seat in the House.

Rep. Don Young cancels public appearance in Wrangell

Alaska Congressman Don Young was in Wrangell Thursday as part of a Southeast trip. He started in Ketchikan on Wednesday and arrived in Wrangell Thursday despite flight delays because of weather.
