Do you have a favorite homemade chili recipe? Enter it in our 15th Annual Chili Cook-Off! First, Second, and Third Place winners will take home cash prizes. The first place winner also wins the honor of taking home the Great Alaskan Chili Champ Trophy for one year. The event takes place on Saturday, March 8th, in the high school commons. Chili entries will be accepted between 10:00 am and 10:30 am. Judging takes place at 10:30 and chili is served to the public at noon for $5.00 a bowl.
After lunch, stick around for KSTK’s annual fundraising auction – your chance to purchase items donated by local businesses and artists while helping raise funds to keep your public radio station on the air.
We hope to see you there!
Autumn is officially here, and so is KSTK's Fall Membership Drive! Public Radio is a user-supported service, which is why we ask you directly to make a contribution of any amount that is right for you. Every donation counts, and each one gets us closer to our goal of $18,000. The best reason to give is the same reason you're visiting our website right now. Is it for a News Update? Community Calendar? Road Report? Music Stream? Your donation goes directly toward these programs and our ability to bring them to you. It only takes about three minutes - click the orange "Donate Now" button to the right, or call us at 874-2345. Thank you for supporting your Stikine River Radio! more
