Governor Sean Parnell visited Wrangell and Petersburg on Monday, March 3. While in Wrangell, he met with the mayor, city manager, and school officials, among others.
KSTK’s Shady Grove Oliver spoke with the governor about a wide range of topics from timber to ferries.

The Wrangell Cooperative Association recently won federal funding to test shellfish from Wrangell beaches. The tribal government wants to make sure clams and cockles are still safe to eat after a sinking tug boat leaked fuel in the area last winter. more
The Wrangell Borough Assembly voted Tuesday to raise the monthly 911 surcharge on each phone in Wrangell. The assembly also approved new moorage fees for Meyers Chuck. more
