Yellow cedar ‘declines’ in Southeast
The Tongass National Forest makes up a large part of Southeast Alaska and is one of the wildest places in North America. But some of its trees are dying. Depending on where you are in Southeast, there’s Sitka spruce, hemlock, and in certain areas a type of tree called the yellow cedar. This type of tree is suffering from yellow cedar decline. more
