For more than 30 years "Mountain Stage w/ Larry Groce" has been the home of live music on public radio. The show was founded in 1983 in Charleston, WV and is produced by West Virginia Public Radio. The two-hour broadcast is carried on nearly 150 NPR Stations nationwide, and overseas via the Voice of America. Each show features 4-5 guests and is recorded in front of an audience for delayed distribution.
The Mountain Stage audience is treated to engaging live performances by emerging talent and established favorites in a variety of genres. They record 26 new shows each year, most often at their home venue, The Culture Center Theater on the state capitol grounds in Charleston, WV.

Wednesday morning is a repeat airing. Mountain Stage also repeats Saturday morning at 10:00 am.
