Wrangell Museum features local artists

The Wrangell Museum will hold an opening for two new exhibits on Friday. Both exhibits feature local Wrangell artists. "Paintings by Caleah Gadd" will run until March 24. And "Gestalt Critter Compositions," photography by Rick Rivard, will run until May. KSTK's Lisa Phu had the opportunity to catch up with Rivard and files this report.

Three Wrangell men ski the Stikine

About a decade ago, a plan was hatched by Stephen Todd to ski the 150 miles of frozen Stikine River from Telegraph Creek to the flats. Joined by two friends Bob Lippert and Scott Forbes, the epic journey was recently completed in fifteen days. Wrangell Seafoods writes bad checks to city

Last month, Wrangell Seafoods wrote the city of Wrangell five bad checks equaling close to $50,000. This amount plus others mean that WSI is late on fees to the city totaling over $110,000. At Tuesday night's city council meeting, the council said they've had enough. KSTK's Lisa Phu reports.

Chamber brings Vegas to Wrangell

The Nolan Center was transformed into a Las Vegas casino on Friday night for the annual membership dinner of the Wrangell Chamber of Commerce. The evening was filled with food, cocktails, gambling tables, wedding vows, prizes, and even glimpses of celebrities like Marilyn Monroe and Tina Turner.
