Elks help brings Wounded Warrior Project to Alaska

This past weekend, Jan Jonker was in Wrangell visiting with the local Elks lodge. Jonker is president of the Alaska State Elks Association. He's on a tour of all seventeen lodges across the state. One program that Jonker has implemented during his term as president is the Alaska State Elks Wounded Warrior Project. KSTK's Lisa Phu reports.

In the past month, the Wrangell fish and game office and the Wrangell police department have received many calls reporting sightings of wolves. Imagination Library stays in Wrangell

The Dolly Parton Imagination Library is kicking off its second season in Wrangell. The program, which caters to children under age five, sends one book straight to the child's mailbox every month. Close to one hundred Wrangell children participated in the Imagination Library last year, which means over one thousand books have been delivered. The best part about the imagination library is that it doesn't cost the families of the children anything. KSTK's Lisa Phu files this report.
