Besides voting for elected officers to the borough assembly, port commission, school board, and the hospital board, on October 7, Wrangell voters will also get to weigh in on three ballot propositions. Ballot proposition number 1 is titled, "Clean Indoor Air Act." Lisa Phu takes a closer look at the ballot proposition language and files this report.

For almost ten years, Wrangell doctor Dave McCandless has been holding rural clinics in communities on Prince of Wales Island that don't have health providers and don't have easy access to them. It started when Point Baker and Port Protection asked Wrangell to send a visiting doctor. Since then, every six weeks throughout the entire year, Dr. McCandless visits the remote communities of Coffman Cove, Whale Pass, Naukati, Edna Bay, Point Baker, and Port Protection.

Wrangell's Horse Club held their first Annual Horse Show Sunday August 24th and despite the rain, lot's of people stopped by to show their support for Wrangell's young riders. KSTK's Kelley Decker has the story.

After graduating from Wrangell high school in 2006, Brandon Harding went on to pursue training in the culinary arts. Now that he's completed a 15-month program at Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Las Vegas, Harding is back in Wrangell tantalize taste buds at the Diamond C.
