The Wrangell High School Cross Country team may not have finished the Region V Meet as plan, but got some consolation with they headed to Palmer, last weekend, for the State Cross Country Meet. KSTK's Tony Gorman has more on how they fared.

The Wrangell Canvass Board has counted the remaining ballots to this year's municipal election. There was one close race, but no significant changes. KSTK's Tony Gorman reports.

Wrangellites went to the polls, Tuesday, to vote on 5 positions and 2 ballot measures. KSTK's Tony Gorman has the unofficial results from this year's election.

Students in the Wrangell School District will no longer have to go far to get a meal during school hours. For the first time, the School District was able to provide hot meals to students through its new breakfast and lunch program. Before the program began, students would eat breakfast at home and bring their own lunches to school. In some cases, the District allowed older students to purchase meals at local businesses. KSTK's Tony Gorman has more on how the first day of the program went.

On October 6, Wrangell voters will get to vote 'Yes' or 'No' to the creation of a regional solid waste management authority in southeast. Voting 'Yes' would create the opportunity for southeast communities to deal with their own waste as opposed to shipping it down south. KSTK's Lisa Phu reports.
