On Monday, August 8th members of the community gathered for the first meeting of Wrangell’s Forest Product’s Task Force. KSTK’s Charlotte Duren was at the meeting and has more on what’s being planned to stimulate Wrangell’s local timber industry.

The Resource Advisory Council (RAC) recently met to go over a number of proposed projects in Wrangell, Petersburg, and Kake. During the 2-day meeting in Wrangell they developed a list of over twenty proposed projects in the three communities, and if approved will be starting in just a few months.
