Christmas Tree Lane gives back to local hospice

Wrangell’s downtown civic center has undergone a holiday transformation. Trees of all shapes, sizes, and décor are now up for bid, all apart of Wrangell’s 6th annual Christmas Tree Lane. KSTK’s Charlotte Duren talks with volunteers and organizer Jacquie Dozier about the event and how the decorated trees give back to the community.

Wrangell envisions economic future

Groups from around Southeast Alaska have been examining the region’s recreation, energy, timber, and ocean product industries. They’re trying to develop initiatives to enhance the area’s economy. Meanwhile, Wrangell is looking at its own product potential and how it can fit into what’s being called the Southeast Cluster Development Initiative.
