For this week’s episode, host June Leffler spoke with Shawn Curley. He’s chairing this year’s coho derby, the first one since 1996. After the Alaska Department of Fish and Game severely limited sport fishing for Kings around the whole island, the derby committee decided to bring back a silver derby. Curley gives us a bit of history on this throwback event. And some fishing tips, sort of.
