Wrangell just wrapped up city elections, welcoming new representatives to various boards. Last night, even more joined their ranks, when the assembly appointed some new reps.
For the Parks and Recreation advisory board, Haig Demerjian was reappointed to his seat. Keeleigh Morelli was also appointed to the parks and rec board.
Brooke Leslie was appointed to multiple boards. She will serve on the Convention and Visitor Bureau, as well as the Economic Development Committee.
Two seats appointments are still open on the Planning and Zoning Committee.
Two seats are also open on the assembly, one due to Steve Pyrsunka switching roles and becoming mayor. The other opening is due to Rolland Howell’s recent hire as the city’s Public Works director.
Anyone interested in serving on a board should submit a letter of intent to the city.
