To kick off Wrangell’s Bird Fest, an artist will be teaching the craft of nature journaling to kids and adults. Homer artist Kim McNett incorporates scientific observation into her interpretive signs and personal drawings. She received an Individual Artist Award through the Rasmussen Foundation to study color for her illustrations. KSTK’s June Leffler spoke to the artist about her style and teaching methods.
