Talk on the Rock is KSTK’s live call-in show. Every Tuesday at 1pm we welcome a local guest to discuss events and topics of interest to our little island town. For this week’s episode, host June Leffler spoke with Rod Brown and Brian Lea. Rod is a retired science and math teacher, Brian is best know for his rock carvings, but they both are avid gardeners. Rod gave us a run down of what he’s growing in his green house and gave us some tips along the way. He’s even tried out some carnivorous plants that are fairing better than you might expect. Brian has done plenty of landscaping back in Florida and now here in Wrangell. He says moving from one place to another, he’s learned that the idea of a “weed” is in the eye of the beholder.
