Wrangell Mayor Prysunka and Borough Manager VonBargen share new COVID 19 information. The State of Alaska has identified that wearing masks may help contain the spread of the coronavirus. Wrangell officials are encouraging people to wear homemade cloth masks or bandanna’s while in public. They further remind people that Shelter In Place extends to vehicles and boats. If you decide to go out in the boat, don’t tie up boats side by side at anchor. Continue to social distance and keep others at a distance of 6 feet whether in town, out the road or off island. Neighbors are reminded to check on neighbors. Use your phone or other device to connect with each other. Wrangell still has no known cases of coronavirus. Please remain vigilant in social distancing, washing hands and let’s all stay in this together.
