Talk on the Rock is KSTK’s live call-in show. Every Tuesday at 1pm we welcome a local guest to discuss events and topics of interest to our little island town. For this week’s episode, host June Leffler spoke with Jenni Jackson and Shawna Durfey. Both are making cloth masks for the community, to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. Shawna says she started making masks for medical workers down south. Once the Centers for Disease Control issued recommendations that all people wear masks out in public, Shawna and Jenni and other sewers took the call to action. Jenni says her goal is to get a mask to everyone that wants one.

Jenni and her crew of sewers are distributing masks through the library. Contact the library at (907) 874-3535.
