The Re-Open Wrangell Task Force is holding a round table on Friday, May 15th 1 pm to 2:30 pm by Zoom. Details available at reopen@wrangell.com or 874-2381.

Mandate 18 has been issued. This allows for intrastate travel to occur between Alaska communities that are on the road system and on the AMHS system with no restrictions. Anyone traveling for critical infrastructure purposes must submit a worker mitigation safety plan with the state. Anyone coming to Wrangell is asked to voluntarily submit the same plan to the City of Wrangell. However, the interstate travel restriction is still in place. This is travel coming in to Alaska. Interstate travelers must quarantine for 14 days. There is up to $25,000 fine or a year in jail for violating that provision.
