A second case of coronavirus has been confirmed in Wrangell.
A statement from the city says the latest case came from a man that arrived on a commercial flight. He tested at the airport, and three days later his results came back positive.
The state says the man is visiting Wrangell and is isolating at a residence in town.
City officials say this case shows airport screening works. In the release, City Manager Lisa Von Bargen says “While it is unfortunate that an additional case has been identified, it is encouraging that we were able to identify this person as part of the airport screening process.”
Public Health Officials are conducting an investigation and completing contact tracing.
