The community of Wrangell is mourning the death of fisherman Randy Churchill Jr. The 39-year-old died in a tragic logging accident Wednesday morning (February 22).

Wrangell Police Chief Tom Radke says that emergency services received a 911 call at roughly 6 a.m., which reported a tree on top of a person at Pat’s Lake, about 11 miles south of town.
