Alaska state prosecutor Whitney Bostick charged a Wrangell woman with three felonies for an alleged sexual abuse act on three minors aged 13-15 years old.

Judge Amanda Browning arraigned 32-year-old Rebecca Mork Monday in the Wrangell Courthouse. Mork pleaded not guilty.

The charges stem from early May during an after-party of the Milk Run Music Festival. A parent of a juvenile reported to Wrangell Police that Mork undressed and grinded on the juveniles after leaving a bar.

In a written statement, the Wrangell Police Department said their investigation found three minors were given alcohol during the after-party. And a cell phone video showed Mork undressing herself and touching the minors.

Police Chief Gene Meek said they collected multiple interviews with juveniles, parents, defendants and evidence. He submitted the information to the District Attorney’s Office in Juneau for review. From there the DA took it to the grand jury. The grand jury indicted Mork on three charges, leading to her arrest on June 13.

She was released on a $10,000 bail on Monday.

The court scheduled her omnibus hearing for July 17 at 2:30 p.m. and her trial during the week of August 25.

Public defense attorney Alice Graves is defending Mork and was not immediately available for comment.
