KSTK is hiring a part-time Station Manager to lead and support the station. KSTK is a local non-profit public media organization that provides local news reporting, community connections and health and safety information for Wrangell.

KSTK Station Manager – Part-Time
The Station Manager coordinates with staff on administrative, operational, financial, and regulatory management of the station while serving as the primary liaison with community partners, industry organizations, and government agencies. This position ensures the station remains compliant with all applicable regulations and supports the organization’s mission and strategic goals. This position is an opportunity to lead a small but strong team in keeping Wrangell connected, informed and entertained.
Position responsibilities include:
- Manage KSTK staff, providing leadership and support.
- Maintain positive working relationships with the City & Borough of Wrangell and other community partners for the benefit of community health, safety, and education.
- Ensure compliance with all Federal Communications Commission (FCC) rules and regulations.
- Coordinate with CoastAlaska Engineering on technical needs of KSTK.
- Learn to operate KSKT’s broadcast equipment and web processes.
- Perform administrative duties including payroll prep, budget development and oversight.
- Assist with grant writing, reporting and compliance.

- Salary: Range F, $32,500 to $40,000 annually, depending on experience for this half-time position.
- Training: We are looking to hire now with the opportunity to learn from the current manager through the end of December 2026.
