Fishermen raise cost and infrastructure concerns amid city development plans
Fishermen filled a classroom at the Nolan Center on Feb. 3, as part of a roundtable invitation from Wrangell officials to see how they can be more supportive of the local industry. Some held complimentary beers from the city — part of what borough officials called a casual kickoff to more engagement with the fleet.

Talk on the Rock: Coven Petticrew on dance revitalization, cultural healing and Tlingit dance group Ch’xasaan
Episode 84: Coven Petticrew has been deeply connected with revitalizing cultural dance for decades. He practiced it in the Aleutians and now he's helping organize a Tlingit dance group in Wrangell, called Ch'xasaan. It acknowledges the first Raven village in the area and it means "waterfall town." Petticrew talked with KSTK's Colette Czarnecki on the meaning behind dance revitalization and how it's a meaningful source for healing.
Talk on the Rock: Lady Wolves on this season’s goals and what it takes to be on the team
Episode 83: The Lady Wolves have been doing pretty good this season. Three of them: captains Alana Harrison and Christina Johnson and coach Christy Good chatted with KSTK's news director Colette Czarnecki about their experiences so far on this year's team. Their next game is against Craig on Jan. 29 and Jan. 30. Junior varsity starts at 5pm and Varsity at 6:30pm.
