Episode 79: The Wrangell Wolves made another triumph this past weekend, where the boys wrestlers brought home their first ever state championship in the Division II finals. They wrestled in Anchorage at the 2025 ASAA/First National Bank Alaska Wrestling State Championships. Coach Jack Carney and his son Jackson Carney talked with KSTK's Colette Czarnecki about what this past weekend was like. Both shared their visions for the team, how they won and the hard work that got them to championship. On top of bringing home their first state championship award, they also received the Sportsmanship Award and the Division II Coach of the Year Award. The coaches of all participating teams voted Jackson as the Division II Outstanding Wrestler.

Scambler also talked a little bit about archives she found from the Wrangell Sentinel that she found fascinating about the history of Wrangell.
