Episode 55: The Salvation Army’s Captain Chase Tomberlin-Green chatted with KSTK’s Colette Czarnecki on what’s going on this summer for the organization. This includes a guided painting event to help raise funds for the Bible Bowl competition. They will also host summer camp for Wrangell teenagers to attend at King’s Lake Camp in Wasilla this summer.

Wrangell Borough Assembly preview: e-bikes & e-scooters, school budget and timber

Wrangell’s borough assembly will discuss micromobility devices, otherwise known as e-bikes and e-scooters, at its meeting tonight [Tues]. Residents have been expressing a lot of concern about the high usage of these devices in town without current regulations. To change this, the assembly will discuss placing town ordinances on their use.

Wrangell superintendent resigns; school board selects final candidates

After four years of working with Wrangell School District, Superintendent Bill Burr submitted his letter of resignation in late March. He stated that it’s been an honor serving the school district to its QUOTE “successes, achievements and student accomplishments.”
