Second atmospheric river expected to follow current one in Southeast Alaska

The National Weather Service expects two major atmospheric rivers to hit Southeast Alaska over the weekend into Wednesday. Andy Park, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Juneau, said Wrangell will have dryer conditions as compared to other southern communities.

School Board decision was split on electric school bus grant

It took two special school board meetings in late summer to decide on whether Wrangell Public Schools should accept federal funds in the form of a Clean Bus Grant to obtain an electric school bus. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency offered it to the school district in 2022 in order to decrease diesel emissions.
