WMC, AICS collaborate to improve response time for critical behavioral health issues

Wrangell Medical Center and Alaska Island Community Services this month announced a collaboration to improve staff response time when a patient may be a danger to themselves or the community. The two organizations teamed up to prevent delays in dealing with behavioral health issues.

Wrangell residents learn how seawater can heat buildings

Andy Baker of YourCleanEnergy LLC was in Wrangell Monday to introduce a cleaner, cheaper heating source. Seawater-based heat pumps use a small amount of electricity to lift heat out of the ocean.
