The Wrangell Assembly will go into a special meeting, Thursday, to discuss offering the borough manager position to one of five candidates. Last week, KSTK's Tony Gorman had a chance to catch up with all five finalists during a public reception at the Nolan Center.

New rules concerning drugs and alcohol in sports and activities will be implemented for the upcoming school year in the Wrangell School District. KSTK's Tony Gorman has more on the changes made during this week's Wrangell School Board meeting.

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission recently accepted the City of Angoon's permit filing to produce and sell hydropower at Scenery Lake. Angoon is also looking to produce power at Ruth Lake, where Wrangell and Petersburg want to do the same thing. KSTK's Tony Gorman reports.

Fourth of July is one of Wrangell's biggest events. Every year, the Wrangell Chamber of Commerce hold the Fourth of July Royalty contest to help fund the event for the following year. KSTK's Tony Gorman has more on this year's contestants.
