Wrangelliltes and Petersburg residents will see more each other within the next two months. The Petersburg Airport will be shutdown down from March 23rd through April 21st in order to replace culverts under the runway. This week, the Wrangell Chamber of Commerce is holding a town meeting at the Nolan Center to help local residents and businesses adjust to the extra traffic. KSTK's Tony Gorman sat down with Wrangell Chamber of Commerce President Janelle Privett to talk about the upcoming meeting and how businesses can capitalize on the situation.

Many people are conscious about their weight and size. But, does being skinny really equal healthy? A new education program is being introduced to Wrangell that will help determine those questions. It is called Wise in Every Size. It's not a diet program. It recommends participants what types of foods they should eat. Victoria Martin and Tammi Meissner stopped by KSTK to chat with Tony Gorman about the program and how it will help Wrangellites.

Wrangell, Petersburg, and Angoon are looking to get a permit from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission to own and develop hydro-power at Ruth Lake. But, language in Wrangell and Angoon's filings has raised some red flags with Wrangell Mayor Don McConachie. KSTK' Tony Gorman reports.

The Wrangell High School Drama, Debate, and Forensics Team is having a great year. The team placed first at two Southeast competitions despite having only two members. The team is preparing for State Competition, which will be held at Sitka High School from February 26th-28th. KSTK's Tony Gorman caught up with the Sophomore Sydney Reid and Freshman Annie Prysunka to talk about the team's season.

Representatives from Southeast communities gathered at Wrangell's Nolan Center for the Alaska Energy Authority meeting. Hydro-power was the main topic of discussion as well as the AK/BC Intertie. KSTK's Tony Gorman has more on the meeting.
