Barometers have become a household item for many people and KSTK routinely announces the temperature and wind readings, as well as the measurements and trends of what the barometer is showing. KSTK will be airing a two part informational series on barometers and how they work. Kelley Decker spoke with Rick Fritshe (Fritch) with the National Weather Service in Juneau and brings us the first part of our two part series.

With only one more regular season meet until regionals, the Wrangell high school boys and girls cross-country teams are speeding through their season. But, as coach Monty Buness explains, the excitement has only just begun.

At last week's regular meeting, the Wrangell borough assembly decided to look further into reapplying for a FERC license for Sunrise Lake. As recommended by the Heller Ehrman law firm, the assembly has directed the borough manager to invite representatives from consulting firms to visit Wrangell.

With Wrangell's local election coming up, there are many vacancies on various boards and commissions of the city and borough of Wrangell that only require a letter of interest. Each vacancy is an opportunity to serve the community. Lisa Phu spoke with mayor Don McConachie about what this means.
