With fall weather upon us, Victoria Martin at Wrangell's parks and rec wants to remind the community that there are many indoor fitness options available right now.

At Tuesday night's meeting, the Wrangell borough assembly committed up to $5,000 to help the Southeast Conference file a complaint against the Forest Service regarding their decision to uphold the Tongass Land Management Plan amendment.

The topic of the Bradfield Corridor, also known as the AK-BC intertie or Bradfield Road, resurfaced at Tuesday night's Wrangell borough assembly meeting. Assembly member Ernie Christian suggested that Wrangell go after the funds left over from the Alaska Energy Authority appropriation, the majority of which went towards the Kake-Petersburg intertie.

The Wrangell Medical Center Foundation was established last year as a non-profit foundation. This enables the Wrangell Medical Center to raise funds, apply for grants, and accept financial gifts from donors. As Wrangell Medical Center CEO Noel Rea explains, the Foundation is having a healthy beginning and is ready to start giving back to the community.

Living up to its mission of bringing wellness opportunities to Wrangell, the Healthy Wrangell Coalition is providing a brand new program to local residents – Wrangell in Motion.
