AML members focus on energy

The summer legislative meeting of the Alaska Municipal League brought together various city, municipal, borough leaders from throughout the state. During two days in Wrangell, the group began to identify the most pressing needs to be brought to the upcoming legislative session. While there was a call from many for increased revenue sharing and better transportation, the overwhelming cry was for affordable energy.

Middle and high school get well-needed face lift

When the students of Wrangell's middle school and high school start classes on Tuesday, they'll notice some changes. For the past few months, a team from Johnson's Construction has been hard at work remodeling both schools.
