In accordance with neighboring southeast communities, the city of Wrangell may be instating some kind of local bidders preference to city code. KSTK's Lisa Phu files this report.

An influx of people from all over southeast has begun to arrive in Wrangell for the Southeast Region EMS Symposium. It its over 20-year history, this is only the second time the symposium has taken place outside of Sitka. According to board president of Southeast Region EMS Council, Terry Buness, Wrangell is more than ready. KSTK's Lisa Phu reports.

The parks and rec department is now offering a strength training program called Strong and Fit. The class will meet twice a week in the morning and is geared for those who want to find a low impact way to build and retain strength. KSTK's Lisa Phu reports.

The Nolan Center was buzzing during this year's annual health fair, which took place on Saturday. Kids and adults milled around the civic center entering prize drawings, getting their blood taken, and learning valuable information on how to live healthier lives. KSTK's Lisa Phu visited the blood drawing station and some of the booths to find out what health opportunities exist right here in Wrangell.
