February 7 marked the first day of Chinese New Year. Typically in Wrangell, this holiday, which lasts fifteen days, usually goes overlooked. But not this year. If you visit Evergreen Elementary School, you will find one classroom in one corner of the building devoting a whole lot of time to this Chinese holiday. KSTK's Lisa Phu brings us the story.

Within the governor's supplemental budget is something that may surprise some Wrangell residents. The bill, which is still in legislature, would allow funds solely dedicated to the AK-BC intertie to also go towards a Kake-Petersburg intertie. KSTK's Lisa Phu reports.
