Wrangell to host presentation on Alaska’s budget deficit

A representative from the Alaska Department of Administration will be in Wrangell next week to give a presentation on the state’s fiscal future. Residents will have the opportunity to learn more about the state’s budget deficit and talk to their legislator about revenue options.

Borough Assembly picks new property tax due date

The Wrangell Borough Assembly voted Tuesday to change the borough’s property tax due date for the second time this year. Starting in 2016, property taxes will be due by Oct. 15.
