Tlingit Phrase of the Week is a project launched to help with the survival and renewal of the Tlingit language in Wrangell. Each phrase speaks to Wrangell’s seasons and the Tlingit way of life. In the month of April, when the length of grass is right, it will be seaweed picking time.

The family of Christine Jenkins invites you to join them in celebration her 90th birthday on Saturday, October 13th from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at the Nolan Center. a lunch buffet will be served at 1:00 pm. No gifts please. The family is making a memory book of notes and pictures from friends and family. The City of Wrangell announces the Phase 1 Water Watch is now lifted. However, water conservation measures are encouraged. If dry weather occurs, it is very likely Wrangell will go back on Water Watch.
