On October 10 in Kodiak, candidates for U.S. Senate took to the stage for Kodiak’s biennial fish debate. They tackled issues important to fisheries across the state such as discharge rules, Alaska’s aging fishing crews and transboundary Canadian mines. Candidates had chances to ask questions of each other and comment on their favorite seafood as well.
Everyone is invited to KSTK’s Holiday Open House on Monday evening, December 21st from 5 to 7 pm at KSTK. We hope you can stop by for some holiday cheer, finger food, and festive beverages! Spice up your life with KSTK’s 16th annual Chili Cook-Off and Fundraising Auction on Saturday, March 14th, at the High School Commons. Enter your best homemade chili for a chance to win, or just stop by and enjoy a bowl of award-winning chili and great company. Lunch is $10, and $5 for seniors and kids 12 and under. This year’s event will feature both a silent and live auction. We hope to see you there!
