Juneau city officials are cracking down on an amateur fireworks show held twice a year over Gastineau Channel. That throws a mini-tradition for New Year’s Eve and Independence Day in doubt.

There will be a beer garden, food truck and other vendors at the covered basketball court. Trego, a six-piece band from Spokane, Washington, will play a set.
