Southeast students traveled to Wrangell for Art Fest this year; picking up skills that boost confidence and creativity

About a dozen students were sitting down at work tables, with glue bottles standing up and pieces of colored glass in their bowls, clattering against each other when the teenaged artists’ hands reached in to extract the desired piece. They’re arranging the glass on ceramic tiles in front of them. A couple other students ground down glass while a noisy machine buzzed on a nearby counter. This is the second day of the mosaic stained glass workshop for Southeast Alaska’s Art Fest held last month in Wrangell.

Wrangell High School graduates reflect on the past and look forward to the future

Fifteen Wrangell seniors graduated high school May 16. KSTK’s Colette Czarnecki stopped by the school gym where they were setting up for their ceremony later that night to see how they’re feeling. The graduates in the gym shared memories while in school and what’s next for them. Daniel Harrison and Lucas Schneider were not present during the interviews. KSTK sends this audio postcard.
